Coffeezilla called Logan Paul’s CryptoZoo game a ‘scam’, but the latter has decided to not take the YouTuber to court.

Stephen Findeisen, or Coffeezilla, self-described as an ‘internet detective’ had become embroiled in an online feud with Logan Paul.

Last week, Paul posted a now-deleted controversial video in response in which he made legal threats.

No lawsuit

On Saturday, Findeisen posted on Twitter that Logan had called him and said that he was dropping the lawsuit and deleting his responses as well.

He said that he was glad that the lawsuit would no longer be an issue, but added that the next steps were the most important.

The YouTuber said that returning funds to those affected was the priority and it had always been about this issue.

Paul had railed against the video series that Findeisen had released, which had three parts, and had criticized the crypto game named CryptoZoo that he had introduced.

Now, the WWE fighter and the controversial YouTuber seem to be walking along a different path altogether.

The response video that Paul had released, which he has now deleted, had accused the YouTuber of defaming him and threatened legal action.

Paul’s change

Now, Paul said that the video in question had been rash and was not the actual issue at hand. Talking of Findeisen, he said that his problem was not with the YouTuber.

He also added that he would apologize, take accountability and would come up with a plan soon. In the video that he has now deleted, Paul had stated that the game was coming, but he had not given any details.

It is possible that Paul could just have had an epiphany about being accountable, or it is possible that his legal team may have understood that there are a lot of challenges involved in defamation lawsuits of public figures.

More details

A lawyer had previously stated that public figure plaintiffs are required to provide proof that malice was involved in the actions of the defendant and they disregarded the truth for defamation to be shown.

While Paul may have decided to drop the idea of taking legal action, it is quite possible that there may be a legal battle related to CryptoZoo in the near future.

In his videos, Findeisen had talked to the former developer of CryptoZoo Zach Kelling, but had kept him anonymous. However, his identity was disclosed by Paul in his response video.

Kelling had posted on LinkedIn that the video from Paul was ‘defamatory’ and also called it a personal attack.

He said that he would release the game if he gets paid by Logan. He added that they had all been scammed.

Kelling said that he was pleased that the video had been deleted, but also asserted that the issue was not resolved as yet.

He revealed that the developers were still owed money and that almost 30 people had worked on the game, rather than the 3 that Paul had initially claimed.

He also said that his legal team would get in touch with Logan.
